We Connect with Tami Forrest
During our weekly broadcasts, our guests talk about their own journey along with all of the ups and downs that occurred throughout. They are also mental health advocates and are also looking to help and support people who are struggling. This weeks guest Tami forrest is no different as she is a fitness trainer, registered cardiology technologist, wife and mother of three beautiful children.
Tami's journey with mental health and wellness began at a very young age with being self destructive and her “fat” body! Then through her teenage years her negative body image and self hate worsened. In her mind she was never skinny enough, pretty enough, or popular enough. This self destruction led to a life with anorexia and bulimia; while her anxiety was taking a firm grasp on her mind set...

On February 23rd we welcomed back one of our favourite community partners, Mama T and her daughter Ruby!

Tammy Powder, aka Mama T is a married mom for 4 kiddos and lives in Central Saskatchewan. Tammy is an advocate for parents of children who struggle with addictions and Mental Health challenges. Walking her own path of learning how to parent children with mental health challenges has opened her eyes to a whole new way to parent, communicate and help her family thrive. She understands the importance of parents taking care of themselves in a healthy way so they can take care of their family.

We Connect with Kristie Leslie

On February 16th Darren hosted another engaging conversation for We Connect with the Community featuring Kristie Leslie as our guest.

I have so many wonderful ways to describe Kristie, such as being resilient, driven, passionate and caring to others. Behind the chair for 20 years and business owners for 14 years, most recently her very successful LUXE Beauty Co. brand! Mother to her amazing girls Remi and Harper and married to Ryan for coming up on 10 years this fall...Congrats!

Kristie in a nutshell has always been obsessed and focused on personal development, self-help books, the beauty industry and salon business, raising kind humans, building a business environment where people feel safe, happy, and have the opportunity to thrive.

We Connect with Warrant Officer Cathan Perry
On February 9th, We Connected with a very special guest and our good friend Warrant Officer Cathan Perry from our Canadian Armed Forces. He is one of my closest friends and he was also very close with my brother Mark... Thank you for everything you do Cathan!
A little about this guy as he grew up in Macrorie Saskatchewan, where he spent the majority of time playing sports, fishing/hunting and working with his dad. He currently resides in Warman with his wife, Sascha, and two kids, daughter Remington, and son Declan. Upon graduation he went to the University of Saskatchewan to study Engineering. After his first year in University Cathan joined the Canadian Forces Primary Reserve with the North Saskatchewan Regiment and in 2008 deployed on his first tour to Kandahar, Afghanistan.

We Connect with Teresa Walker
This week we were very fortunate to have another partner of Love My Mind and Inspirational Facilitator Teresa Walker!
Teresa connects with audiences at conferences, employee professional development days, workshops, retreats, school/youth events, motivational addresses (keynote) and one on one through conversations.
Through her own personal journey of learning and experiences in life she came to understand that it is about a string of moments and the personal choice of having the tools and being able to use them.
